Palm Sunday Celebrations

Palm Sunday celebrations began with the children re enacting Jesus entry into Jerusalem on a human donkey with lovely long ears, whilst the congregation waved and threw palms in front of them.

Rev Juliet with the help of the children and Rosie then told the story of Jesus’s triumphant entry into Jerusalem, how the crowds turned on him and Jesus’s was sent before Pontius Pilot and King Herod before he was condemned to be crucified upon the cross.

We were then joined by Annie and Dainty the wonderful Donkeys where we all had the opportunity to feed and have our photos taken with them, before they lead the procession through town to the sea front where we blessed the palm trees.

The sun was shining and it was a beautiful day, making Jesus known.
