Music & Choir

Church Choir

Choral music is a vital and valued part of the life of Holy Trinity parish church.

Our services involve singing at the weekly Sunday 10am Sung Eucharist. Occasionally we sing for Choral Evensong and weekday services and at weddings.

The choir is friendly, dedicated and a group of voluntary singers who come together from a range of backgrounds by a love of singing sacred music in a liturgical context.

Our main rehearsal is on Friday’s at Holy Trinity church 6.30pm There is also a short rehearsal before Sunday services. We would love to recruit more singers in all parts to create an even larger choir.

If you have more time to spare now, why not take some online music lessons?

James Thomas and Lizzie Peacock are a husband and wife team offering tuition in piano, harp, organ, singing, music theory and songwriting / arrangement.

Start now with online tuition, and continue face-to-face lessons in the Weymouth area once the lockdown is lifted. Now is a great time to get started; personalised motivation will help you reach your goals while you have a bit of time to practise. Music is spirit-lifting and a great boost to mental health.

Lizzie and James are very well qualified and experienced musicians and teachers. They are moving to Weymouth as soon as possible (James is Director of Music at Holy Trinity Church elect) and would start to offer lessons straightaway.
