Hiring Holy Trinity Church, Weymouth
Policy and Procedure: 1st January 2026
Main Church
The base rate for hiring the church will be £45 per hour during the summer months with no heating.
In Winter an additional cost of £15.00 per hour will be charged to cover heating and lighting.
A £50 returnable deposit will be required which will be returned if the church is returned in good order.
The hiring body is responsible for insurance and public liability cover.
Teas, coffees and other catering requirements must be provided by the hiring body.
Any portable electrical equipment brought to the church by the hiring body must be pat tested and clearly marked as such.
Crypt
The Crypt is not available for hire unless we have a volunteer from church to be present throughout the hire period. For example if the scouts wish to hire the crypt for an evening session of 2 hours this would be charged at the normal hourly rate but a member of the church must be in the church for that period of time. This is because the main church door would need to be left open to ensure two alternative exits are available throughout the hire period.
