Sunday School
LITTLE PEBBLES: Do you have children aged 3 – 8? If so, perhaps they would like to join us in the Crypt every Sunday morning at 9.30 am (10.15 am on the first Sunday of the month). Our time together is based on the same theme as the service upstairs but we have stories and things to make, drawing and colouring, games, and most of all, we have fun!
The children are brought back up into church at the point in the service when we share The Peace and sit with us in the front rows, or they can go back to you if they prefer.
We hope your little one(s) would like to join Little Pebbles – you can stay with them if you feel they would be happier. If you are not sure how to find us, please ask the people who are handing out the hymn books and they will happily show you.
Sunday School for older children, aged 9 upwards, there is a group which leaves the service through the Vestry door just before the sermon, to talk about the theme of the day – the children say it’s much better than having to sit through the sermon! Again, they return to the main congregation to share The Peace.
If your children would like to join this group, ask them to simply follow the others at the point in the service when they get up and leave. Choir members usually make the first move!
We hope this may answer any questions you may have about provision for children during our Sunday morning service and we look forward to seeing them.
