Thought for the Week 27 April 2018

Jesus uses the powerful image of the vine and its branches in today's gospel, to teach us that it is only when we are linked into him that we can achieve anything of lasting value. It is only when his life permeates our hearts that we can reach our true potential as members of the Christian family. He is the vine but he is much more. He is our Saviour. Canon Andrew.

Faith in the Market Place

Fancy choosing a topical subject and discussing it in a group? How do we relate our faith to what is happening around us? You choose a subject and we can discuss over refreshments. The suggestion is once a month at Gracewell after the Wednesday Eucharist for an hour. We all live in the Market Place of our communities. Come and say what you think and how you feel! If you are interested, sign the list at the back of Holy Trinity church or phone email or tell Father Andrew (see "Contact Us" page).

Summer Sunday Evenings at Holy Trinity Church

Apart from the 1st Sunday of the month which is Evening Prayer and the 5th Sunday which is either Iona or Taizé worship, all other Sunday Evening Services throughout the summer will be from 6pm-7pm HOLY HOUR at which Father Andrew will give a short reading/meditation and people can sit in silence in the Lady Chapel for reflection before the Sacrament. Holy Hour will begin on Sun 13th May 2018.

    Sea Sunday 8th July 2018

    We shall be celebrating Sea Sunday at our Parish Eucharist at 10 am on 8th July. The preacher will be Neil Robinson from the Fishermen’s Mission. The Mission reaches out to both active and retired fishermen by providing practical, spiritual and financial assistance and/or advice.

  • Sunday 19 August 2018, 6.30pm | Holy Trinity

    Songs of Praise 19th August 2018

    There will be a special Songs of Praise on Sunday 19th August at 6.30pm which will be followed by wine and cheese and raffle. All proceeds will go to the church restoration appeal. Please choose your favourite hymn. Further details will be published nearer the event.
