Open for Art 2017

Holy Trinity Church is taking part in ‘Open for Art’ from May 20th to June 4th. The Holy Trinity Arts Group is working on an installation which will represent ‘Holy Trinity in Weymouth’ and each of the church groups has been asked to do something in 2 or 3 dimensions to exhibit.

Bishop’s appeal to save lives after UN declares famine

Bishop Nicholas has launched a Lent appeal for South Sudan, one of the world’s poorest countries, where United Nations agencies declared a famine at the end of February. The Salisbury appeal will raise money for Christian Aid’s work in the country.

Both the Pancake and Beetle Party and the Traidcraft BigBrew were successful events in February, raising money for good causes.

Vicar’s letter for October 2018

“I’m a country person at heart! I was brought up in a small country town in North Cornwall with a thriving market each week. Sadly it is all now long gone. But as children my brothers and I used to love to go to the livestock market and watch all the farmers bringing their livestock and produce to market. At Harvest thanksgiving we would take our harvest gifts to church and I remember a wonderful harvest choral evensong and a hearty harvest supper which everybody was involved with.”
