Annual Parochial Church Meeting

Our annual meeting will be held at St Nicholas on Sunday 23 April after the Evening Service at 6.30 pm. I would be pleased to receive Reports for 2016 for the meeting from all those who lead groups and activities, do special things within our Parish and hold offices of responsibility and privilege.

To have them by the end of March by email would be very helpful, but handwritten reports will also be acceptable.
The Nomination Sheets for elections to the PCC and for Lay Representatives on the Deanery Synod will be displayed from Mothering Sunday – 26th March.  Please ensure that candidates are Nominated and Seconded, having first obtained their permission!
Many thanks!

    Holy Trinity Church Roof

All the scaffolding is down and we can report that the roof is now, as far as we are aware, waterproof. This of course came with a huge cost but needed to be done. We are now applying for grants to see if we can cover more of the cost of £40.000 to pay for it. Last December we received £10,000 from the Muton Trust for which we are extremely grateful. Any kind donations thankfully received! We are about £12,000 short of our target.

“God doesn’t have a holiday!

Working through a desk groaning with paper on a glorious sunny summer morning, I just happened to wish out loud that I was on holiday. However, I was soon reminded by a parishioner of the wonderful truth that God doesn’t have holidays.
