Advent Service at Salisbury
This year we are running a coach to the popular Advent Services ‘Darkness into Light’ at the Cathedral on Saturday 27th November.
Salisbury Cathedral’s Advent Procession ‘From Darkness to Light’, regarded by so many as the unmissable start to the Christmas season begins with the Cathedral in total darkness and silence as the single Advent Candle is lit; by the end the whole interior of the magnificent building is bathed in the light of 1300 flickering candles. We intend leaving Weymouth at 4.00PM and returning at approx 9.30pm. Further details and a sign-up sheet are on the notice board in the Organ Transept and at St Nicholas parish hall. The cost is £7 per person.
