Lay Pastoral Assistants
Brenda, Eleanor, Heather and Pauline have been trained as Lay Pastoral Assistants (LPAs).
Lay Pastoral Assistants are trained to undertake certain aspects of Pastoral work across a wide range within the parish and thereby support the work of the parish clergy. Fr Darren is the LPA co-coordinator and they meet periodically to review the work they are doing and what work they might do in the future. Please do not hesitate to speak to the Lay Pastoral Assistants if you think they may be able to help with something or speak with one of the clergy. Fr Darren is happy to help if you have any queries.

It doesn’t seem so long ago that I was writing for the parish magazine to tell you a little about your new curate and the rest of the family, before we arrived; now I am writing as we are leaving – my last Sunday with you will be on 12 February and we move a day or two after that.

The Archbishop of Canterbury arrived on pilgrimage on January 27th. Here with a small group of clergy and laity, the Archbishop began his pilgrimage in the Galilee. He also met with the local and regional clergy, heads of churches and a number of important civil leaders at St. Margaret’s Guest House in Nazareth.
