July Strollers
The Strollers walk on 17th July was a pleasant ramble through the water-meadows of the River Frome around West Stafford and Lower Bockhampton.
A small group of stalwarts met at the Wise Man, West Stafford and, having dealt with the major decision of the day and chosen our lunches, set off along a very pretty route to the west and north. Secateurs were needed to battle with some overgrown vegetation and there were a number of stiles to be negotiated, so we felt fully justified in falling to with a will when we finally returned to the Wise Man and were presented with our delicious fare.
The next walk will be a local affair on Portland, to avoid the holiday traffic, and will take place on Saturday 14th August. Watch the pew sheet for details.
