Christingle Service
Another year over and a successful Christingle service, raising £648 for The Children’s Society.
I have made the Christingle oranges for a number of years and 2009 was my last one. I would like to say a huge “Thank you” to all the people who have helped, from putting the sweets on the cocktail sticks to giving them out at the service. Without all your help it would not have been possible.
My family and I have had a lot of fun making the oranges, but now feel it is time for someone else to take over. If anyone feels that they would like to do this, then please let it be known to Richard or one of the church wardens.

It doesn’t seem so long ago that I was writing for the parish magazine to tell you a little about your new curate and the rest of the family, before we arrived; now I am writing as we are leaving – my last Sunday with you will be on 12 February and we move a day or two after that.

The Archbishop of Canterbury arrived on pilgrimage on January 27th. Here with a small group of clergy and laity, the Archbishop began his pilgrimage in the Galilee. He also met with the local and regional clergy, heads of churches and a number of important civil leaders at St. Margaret’s Guest House in Nazareth.
