The Christmas Tree at Holy Trinity

Over the past few years (well more than a few, but who’s counting) Liz and Geoff Williams and Josie and Paul Butcher have put up the Christmas tree and decorated it.

All four feel that it is time for someone else to take on this task.  They took an hour to set it up and decorate it last year and less to take it all down – so it is not an onerous job and one which heralds the beginning of the Christmas season.

So all we need are four people (Mum, Dad and 2 teenage children would be ideal), who can work together to help Holy Trinity to prepare for Christmas.  The four stalwarts will be available this year on Sunday afternoon 6th December to show how the tree goes together and then it would be up to the new quartet to take it down and pack it away ready for the next year.    Please, please get in touch with Liz Williams or Josie Butcher if you feel this could be a job you would enjoy doing.

Vicar’s letter for February 2012

“‘There’s no place like home’ goes the old song and it is surely true that for virtually everyone home is important. If we’ve been away for a long time we are really eager to get back. One of the worst punishments that was handed down in the past was exile.”
