August Strollers
The late Bank Holiday walk took us around the Fleet from The Elm Tree in Langton Herring. 
Unlike the earlier August walk we were blessed with lovely weather, and the stunning coastal views never fail to delight no matter how often we see them. Even on one of the busiest weekends of the year, our plan to undertake a local walk and not venture into the holiday traffic meant that we saw very few people and savoured the peace and quiet of the countryside virtually undisturbed. Some sumptuous fare from the Elm Tree completed our enjoyment of the day.
The September walk is on Saturday 26th from The Sun Inn, Lower Burton and the October walk is on Saturday 24th. Watch the pew sheet for details.

It doesn’t seem so long ago that I was writing for the parish magazine to tell you a little about your new curate and the rest of the family, before we arrived; now I am writing as we are leaving – my last Sunday with you will be on 12 February and we move a day or two after that.

The Archbishop of Canterbury arrived on pilgrimage on January 27th. Here with a small group of clergy and laity, the Archbishop began his pilgrimage in the Galilee. He also met with the local and regional clergy, heads of churches and a number of important civil leaders at St. Margaret’s Guest House in Nazareth.
