Ordination of Darren A’Court.
Both the Ordination itself and my first Mass were lovely occasions and I would like to thank all of you for your support, best wishes, cards and gifts, and being there on the day. 
Thank you to Pauline for organising the coach to the Cathedral, which enabled many people to come along when it might otherwise have been more tricky for them; to the flower arrangers for their efforts for the Sunday and to those who stepped in and helped with the refreshments that followed; also to Derek for the wonderful music on the Sunday. I am of course very grateful to Canon Darrell Weyman for being our guest preacher on the Sunday and to Fr Richard and Anne for their ongoing support and encouragement. Finally I must thank my family for supporting me throughout and, along with all of you, helping to make the weekend such a special one. Fr Darren

It doesn’t seem so long ago that I was writing for the parish magazine to tell you a little about your new curate and the rest of the family, before we arrived; now I am writing as we are leaving – my last Sunday with you will be on 12 February and we move a day or two after that.

The Archbishop of Canterbury arrived on pilgrimage on January 27th. Here with a small group of clergy and laity, the Archbishop began his pilgrimage in the Galilee. He also met with the local and regional clergy, heads of churches and a number of important civil leaders at St. Margaret’s Guest House in Nazareth.
