Sociable Strollers Easter Walk
Easter Monday, defying all but the most optimistic predictions, dawned bright and sunny for the Strollers’ traditional walk. 
A goodly number of folk met at the Seven Stars in East Burton and enjoyed a lovely walk across water meadows through to Bovington and on to the edge of Moreton Forest. The picturesque village of East Burton was unknown to most of us and yielded up some delightful vistas. The walk, as ever, left us all with hearty appetites, and where better to satisfy these than the Seven Stars, renowned for the generosity of its portions as well as its varied menu. I can safely say that no-one left there with a corner unfilled!! The photo shows us by a static tank on the road through Bovington by the Tank Museum: Richard will be relieved to know we were not plotting a coup at Holy Trinity!

It doesn’t seem so long ago that I was writing for the parish magazine to tell you a little about your new curate and the rest of the family, before we arrived; now I am writing as we are leaving – my last Sunday with you will be on 12 February and we move a day or two after that.

The Archbishop of Canterbury arrived on pilgrimage on January 27th. Here with a small group of clergy and laity, the Archbishop began his pilgrimage in the Galilee. He also met with the local and regional clergy, heads of churches and a number of important civil leaders at St. Margaret’s Guest House in Nazareth.
