Sociable Strollers
Our wet-weather gear and waterproofs were fully tested during our April walk in Puddletown Forest.
But the non-stop rain did not dampen our sociable spirits and we had good chats and conversations with fellow strollers as usual. Our circular walk brought us back via Hardy’s Cottage and some very wet bluebells in Thorncombe Wood to the dry and warmth of the Pine Lodge Farm Restaurant for our excellent lunch. We can recommend the home-made steak pie, fishcake, Spotted Dick and fruit crumble.
We are hoping for “T-shirt weather” for our next walk on Saturday 24th May from the Cock and Bottle at Morden, another venue noted for good food. All are welcome to join us; please see the pew sheets for the start time.
